Many industrial users natural gas users benefit by negotiating "stand by" rates with their
natural gas supplier. On those cold days when natural gas supplies dwindle, utilities negotiate
special lower rates to get large users in an area to drop out of the supply lines. When this
happens, factories can switch quickly to a propane vaporizer with a propane/air mixing system
that closely approximates the natural gas supply. When the critical demand period ends, the
factory reverts to the standard supply line and saves a bundle in annual energy costs.
Propane vaporizers are like boilers - that convert water into gas - but used for
propane. The LPG enters the vaporizer as liquid and is converted manually to gas form and
delivered to the burner for use. One of the common issues in LPG burner systems is inefficiency
because of gas pressure issues. The reason commercial and industrial users implement propane
vaporizers is that vaporizers don't allow the build-up of excess pressure and they protect
propane tanks from pressure reduction issues, including the refrigeration effect.
By optimizing your vapor production, you protect your propane tanks, you ensure
consistent gaseous output to your commercial gas burners, you'll allow for an increase in the capability of your
system without needing to add more tanks, you'll use all of your LP-Gas or propane, and
ultimately you'll even benefit your propane supplier who will end up making fewer deliveries of a
higher volume which is more efficient.
